Seeds & Suds 2019
… is being organised by volunteers, in the spirit of community and sharing.
Seeds & Suds is also intended to be:
an informal gathering for informal seed exchange,
an opportunity to meet other seed-y folk,
a safe space and friendly event open to all,
an occasion to try local craft beer available for purchase at the Café Meteor Bistro, and
a chance to chat with Luc from Whiskeyjack Beer Company.
We will have:
heirloom tomato seeds (and more) available for sharing,
envelopes for you to put seeds in (bring one seed, bring a hundred, bring them in your pocket, bring them in a jar… we’ll figure it out!),
heirloom seed and seed saving resources, and
Whiskeyjack beer available for purchase.
We won’t have:
cash exchanged for seeds - sharing only :)
No seeds necessary!
If you don’t have any seeds to share, please don’t hesitate to join us. Although seeds won’t be available for cash purchase, we’re sure you can bring something else that seed savers will find of value that you can offer in exchange for a few seeds, such as:
tools/accessories for growing, harvesting, and preserving,
farm fresh eggs
a lovely old book,
a poem or song to share,
local art, and/or
anything supporting creativity and community building.
We hope to see you there!
